This book tells the relationship between students and teachers by using some silly words, also using rhyme words. I would like to use this book in my teaching because this book contains lots of funny pictures which can develop students' imagination. This book is good for 1st and 2nd readers to read ( )

Summary:
This book is full of a bunch of different short little poems. We read Peter the pain, Mrs. Cole on an Onion Roll, My Teacher, Five Seconds Left in the Game, My Favorite Pencil, and Hip Hip Hooray. They were all really cute, short and sweet rhyming poems. There was only one that didn't rhyme at all.

Personal Reaction:
At first I didn't like that it was just a book of a lot of short little poems instead of one big one or story, but after reading a few I began to enjoy it. It gave the book more variety and it lets the students choose what poems they would like to read and which ones might be more interesting to them.

Classroom Extensions:
1.) Have your students write a short poem of their own that rhymes.
2.) Write a poem as a class thats all about your classroom and your students and hang it on your door for everyone to see.

Summary: This book has many Poems and Poems that Rhyme, One is about the Teacher’s Hair like Cotton candy. The words rhymed with her hair.

Personal Reflection: The book is created by using different Rhyme words to make a poem for different things that are related to being in school and what the students see.

Classroom Extension:
1.Have the students create a poem that rhymes with an object, animal, or person.
2.The teacher can have the student’s pair up in groups and come up with a poem or a Rhyme that they all participated in.

Summary: The second poem I read was about a boy making a Rhyme and a cheer about Toads. As he spelled out the word T.O.A.D.S. the students would echo the letters out, then say “Hooray, hooray”.

Personal Reflection: The book has great illustrations and good poems, and Rhymes.

Classroom Extension:
1.The teacher can have the students Draw a picture of the type of toad they like and write a poem about their Toad.
2.The teacher can also have the students go into groups of 3 or 4 and make Rhymes that relate to the type of toad they like.

Summary: This book is full of different poems written for children all relating to school. Some titles include: "The Wiggles Beat the Woggles", "An Itty Bitt Speck of Dot", "Tall Saul", and "Mrs. Wren Lost her Glasses Again". All of the poems are silly and often time don't make sense using funny words and subjects.
Critiques: This is a good example of a poetry book because it has many different poems all enclosed in one story book. The poems rhyme and are silly and fun for kids to read, they also all relate to one umbrella category, which is school, but have variation of topics within that category.
Style: The style of writing is rhyming poetry and is done very well. Each poem is silly and fun and the illustrations correlate well with the writing. The style is also consistent throughout the entire book.
