3 Book Bundle: The Bonus, Songbird, Dirty Dealings
Having read and reviewed all three of these books as they came out I have to say it is a brilliant option to now have them in a bundle together. I highly recommend these books to readers who like dark, gritty, cartel romances. I have copied and pasted my reviews for each book below.
The Bonus:
Kyle and Chloe are not your typical fairy tale romance couple. This story is dark, contains violence and explicit sex in keeping with the story. In spite of this the true story is that of two flawed people, Kyle and Chloe, and how they grow to care for one another. In spite of who and what the two lovers are and have been I hoped as I read that they would get to have a happily ever. The writing, character development, pacing and story were excellent. I would gladly read other books by this author.
Songbird:
A. J. Adams has written another book that had me rooting for the bad guys. A cartel Jefe and how he finds his perfect mate while carrying out a raid and execution cartel style had me from the first scene. I know that Arturo is not “nice” and does some wicked things and his business is not legal but his heart is huge, he loves his family and he loves Solitaire, too. I loved the dynamics of this love story. I really enjoyed Solitaire’s strength of character and ability to survive. I don’t know how this author manages to create characters I should hate but thoroughly enjoy instead!
Dirty Dealings:
2am is not my usual bedtime but this book kept me up reading till way past my usual bedtime! What an interesting, provocative, intense but also at times humorous novel. I love the way the author creates flawed but lovable characters that fall for each other and become stronger individuals as a result of their relationship.
Sitting with a British friend yesterday I was giving her the gist of the story when she said, “Wow! Peckham is where my daughter taught when she finished her education!!! She has been back in touch with some of her students through Facebook.” Well, she immediately knew that Peckham is noted for being a rather criminal environment and was not surprised by my synopsis of the story…she might even buy it when I give her the link she can do so.
So, the story…
Quique, in charge of security for the Mexican Zeta cartel, is sent to England when an assassination attempt is made on the Zeta boss in charge of the area. His mission to find out what person or entity to punish as well as help extend the area the Zetas’ control. Natalia has a dream and has put it on hold to help out her ex-husband’s family by running the Black Horse Pub. Her life is not and never has been easy but she has not let it get her down. When the worlds of Quique and Natalia collide their lives are changed forever.
Thank you to the author for the copies of these books – these are my honest reviews. ( )
