This is one of those books that I can't decide exactly how I feel. I've had a preview copy sitting on my shelves forever and I've never heard it mentioned elsewhere so I think it didn't achieve literary heights, but there are some definite good points to this book. I think maybe the author tried to too hard to shove too many good ideas into one title. I couldn't quite figure out the metaphors that he was trying to add, but I do appreciate the humanity and tone that he set. I found myself enamored with individual lines but I couldn't become enamored with the book itself. I love books that leave me thinking and this did but I am not sure for the right reasons. Even as I write this I feel as if I am in a hall of mirrors and things are not reflected correctly but if I turn the corner all will be made clear, but which corner? Maybe the author deserves credit for this insane rambling, sometimes feelings of wonder are almost better than bad or good. This is one of those books that I can't decide exactly how I feel.
A mesmerising SF thriller from a master of the genre. Hap Thompson is a REMtemp, working the night hours, having people's anxiety dreams for them. For the first time in his life, Hap's making big money -- and that should have been enough Inga biblioteksbeskrivningar kunde hittas. |
