This informational book is about Downs’ syndrome. This book explores how Downs’ syndrome affects the human body, and relates it to our everyday lifes. This book shows students that special needs students capable of doing everything that we take for granted. This book is important to show children, because some families have members with Downs’s syndrome and others have never seen it. This book explores and celebrates the life of a child with Downs’ syndrome, bringing to light that this child really isn’t that different than us.

This book can be used to introduce this topic to children. It is a great book for opening up the room and bringing experiences like this into the classroom. This text can be accompanied by other texts with different disabilities. This can allow children to see that children with special needs aren't so different than us. ( )

Jai’s two older sisters provide factual information about life with a brother who has Down’s Syndrome. In addition to explaining what Down’s Syndrome is, we learn what we can do to help someone with Down’s Syndrome and that someone with Down’s Syndrome likes many of the things that we enjoy.
