It is the first sequel to my novel, Gideon: The Sound and The Glory. It starts where part five of that book leaves off in the life and times of King David, the shepherd boy king. The work chronicles his adult life, loves, and many intrigues and conflicts. Attempting to maintain his connection with the God that he loved and feared while trying to preserve his humanity and everything that made him a poet, musician, singer of songs, and the utmost and fearsome man of war. His ability to overcome every adversity to capture all that he desired out of life no matter the cost or the consequence. A consummate romantic and man of action.
