That was... a lot. I couldn’t put it down, it got under my skin and dug tunnels through my brain that I’m probably going to spend weeks trying to sort through. I kept thinking I had it figured out and I was wrong (almost) every time. Usually best selling thriller/mysteries don’t do much for me, this was a rare exception. SPOILER ALERT: I'll save everyone who wants to read this book the trouble of wasting your time, only to be frustrated and disappointed - Anna did it. I have no idea what the hype is about this book. I got about 25% through and just couldn't go on. I didn't care one iota about any of the characters or the story itself. I had my reservations about the plot even before buying the book. I'm not a big fan of "Groundhog Day" type stories. But, given the author, I took a chance. Big mistake. Evelyn dies 8 times in the book, as we all know - as for who did it? I didn't really care. The story was meandering, totally not interesting and I had no desire to muddle my way through another 280 pages just to get to find out the answer. Wow. This is a mind spinner of a book. It is one of those novels where you’d really like to pull it all apart and figure out what and when and who- time travelling is challenging to read, but as an author it is amazing. Evelyn Hardcastle dies seven times but honestly that is a small part of a cloud of intersecting stories, any of which could have been a novel on their own. It is brilliant, difficult to read if you are doing ANYTHING else, and definitely worth the challenge! inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
