simple, short text accompanied by beautiful illustrations of many animals both familiar and less so (key is in the back). I have a feeling the kids will be drawn to the pages (and will want to come up and touch them), so this may work better as a one-on-one than for a large storytime crowd. ( )

Say hello to various animals throughout the world. Why say Hello? The more people who know about these strange and unusual creatures, the more likely they will survive in the wild. All animals mentioned in this book are threatened or near extinction in the wild. We can help save them but simply knowing about them.
