The final book in the series didn't quite go in the direction I thought it would but it was still a great read and managed to wrap up Elder and Pim's stories. Pim has certainly come a long way since Pennies and has grown into a strong and fearless woman. That's a big change. Thanks to her, Elder becomes more human. I liked how Pim embraced his idiosyncrasies and never made Elder feel that he was somehow broken. Q and Tess cross over into this book was just icing on the cake. The extended epilogues were just perfect. I feel that Selix has a story here and I think he deserves a HEA as well. ( )

My 5 star review is based on my general joy of reading this book. Yes, I found a few flaws in it, there were moments I felt like it was dragging on, but I genuinely enjoyed this book so much I can't even pinpoint those few moments where it wasn't perfect. Pepper Winters has put so much time into the Dollar series and this final novel, Millions, is filled with emotion and answers, answers for all the questions we've had since first opening the page of Pennies.

Millions allows us to finally understand Elder's past further than we have before, the Chinmoku's presence in this novel explaining to us how Elder was trained and how his strength comes from both that time in his life and the massive growth he made when he struck out on his own. He shows fierce loyalty, compassion, love, anger, and at times a power so dark and black you think he might not come out of it, but he's a changed man with Pim at his side. Pim is as sweet as ever, but like Elder she has changed so much as a character. Millions sees Pim embracing her past like a cloak of strength, a lesson that she doesn't have to ever go back to that point again and that she too can fight. Together they make a powerful, selfless couple, their love so deep they'd do anything for one another. Millions highlights this relationship, but we also get to see how each interacts with others in the outside world and how their love has made them more accepting and trusting.

Millions is a violent novel, marred by the darkness first introduced to readers in Pennies, but it is more so a story of love, loyalty, forgiveness, and trust. It's the final novel in Pim and Elder's journey, made even better with multiple epilogues. I have loved every book in the Dollar series by Pepper Winters and it's definitely one I will continue to read and recommend again and again. ( )

What an amazing conclusion to an unforgettable series. This book and series will stay with you long after it is over. There will be a time to meet and enjoy old friends and to watch relationships flourish and grow.

I knew going into this that this book/series would leave an impression. I just did not know how much it would imprint on my template. It changed how I see things. Not everything makes sense. Yet, somehow the Universe seems to align and give you exactly what you need not necessarily what you want. The beauty of that is that often what you need is exactly what you wanted. You just didn't know you wanted it. I'm glad Pim and Elder got there HEA. They deserved it.

My only sadness with this book was I really wanted a resolution or Happy ending for Selix. He deserved it. I felt like there was a story there. I'm hoping someday that he speaks up and demands his story to be told. ( )

This series has been at times hard to read and then there are times I couldn't put it down! Pepper Winters is an author who never lets you down with her stories! It amazes me how she pulls you in and feel everything her characters are going through! Always will love Pim and Elder! Thank you for a great story Pepper Winters! ( )
