A very comprehensive and almost exhaustive description of the events of July 1968, and the murder of Robert Kennedy, the last of the four assassinations in the 1960’s, which likely involved the deep state, the CIA, the Mafia, and the military industrial complex. Likely killed for his ideals, the evidence and interpretation is compelling and shocking that this happened, in broad daylight in front of us all. The death of hope is a truly tragic thing and this is an anatomy of a tragedy. ( ) This book is fascinating. I couldn't put it down. It has so much good information, and the author cites every source. She digs deep into the assassination and looks at it from all angles, touching on every aspect conspiracy theorists would be interested in. After reading it, there's no doubt in my mind of a conspiracy, and she even mentioned some other books I'm now reading to learn even more information. I plan on reading this book again when I'm done circling through the other books she recommended, as I have a terrible memory and reading it again will help me hammer down the information I want to keep in my head. I highly recommend this book for anyone interested in US history, whether you believe in a conspiracy or not, as this will prove without any doubt who was and wasn't involved in the RFK assassination. Thanks, Lisa Pease, for putting so much work into making such a wonderful book! That's, *****, so far. About 1/2 way through, and I can tell you, if you were an adult in 1968 and had the same questions I had about the death of RFK, this is one awesome book. We all thought there was more to it than some lone-wolf Palestinian with near-impossible access to the front-runner Presidential candidate. Sure enough, we were correct. In A Lie Too Big to Fail, longtime Kennedy researcher (of both JFK and RFK) Lisa Pease lays out, in meticulous detail, how witnesses with evidence of conspiracy were silenced by the Los Angeles Police Department; how evidence was deliberately altered and, in some instances, destroyed; and how the justice system and the media failed to present the truth of the case to the public. Pease reveals how the trial was essentially a sham, and how the prosecution did not dare to follow where the evidence led. A Lie Too Big to Fail asserts the idea that a government can never investigate itself in a crime of this magnitude. Was the convicted Sirhan a willing participant? Or was he a mind-controlled assassin? It has fallen to independent researchers like Pease to lay out the evidence in a clear and concise manner, allowing readers to form their theories about this event. Pease places the history of this event in the context of the era and provides shocking overlaps between other high-profile murders and attempted murders of the time. Lisa Pease goes further than anyone else in proving who likely planned the assassination, who the assassination team members were, and why Kennedy was deemed such a threat that he had to be taken out before he became President of the United States.
