Note: I accessed a digital review copy of this book through Edelweiss. Literary Merit: Great Characterization: Great Recommended: Yes Level: Grades 6-12 In this collection of stories, Veronica Chambers (editor) brings together numerous short stories about figures in history who stood up against ideologies and held beliefs they disagreed with. These stories of activism are inspirational and will stir readers to explore the ways they, too, can #resist. Each chapter summarizes the essence of the story in a one-sentence sentiment at the end. The year that each story took place is also noted in each chapter, adding chronological context. With very short chapters and simple language, this book is intended to be consumed by a younger audience (ages 8-12) but the stories themselves speak to a broader audience. This would make a great addition for most shelves. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
