She mixes hot and steamy with funny and loving all at the same time. That's what she did in this book. And it's lovely to read. Tarrik's mother wants him to mate. She and his father want to retire and they want Tarrik to settle down and take over the planetside part of their business so that they can go travel in space. Tarrik doesn't want to do that, so he tells his wonderful mother that he will send his name into Celestial Mates and when they match him, then he will settle down. Then he plots to himself that he will lie through his teeth on the paperwork so that he will never get matched. Jules is a white hat hacker. She wants to take from the rich and help out the poor, and she's really good at that. Right up until she finds out that someone is coming to get her. She needs to get off Earth to be safe, at least for a little while. So, she signs up for Celestial Mates. Can you guess what happens here? I love the way that Juliette and Tarrik's story builds. I love that she's so smart and that she can use her smarts to make things better for a lot of people. Not necessarily a lot of common sense, but smart. Tarrik is a pretty good guy, and his tail is fabulous. Sirilla, Tarrik's mom, is just a sweet and wonderful character. I would so love to see more about her. Lovely story and a great romance. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️STARS ARC BOOK REVIEW Release Date-6/7/18 What's not to like here; Mated on Hades was a fun interesting read that kept me entertained throughout. This was not especially long; which for me can sometimes be a bit of a deterrent to my overall enjoyment I found it didn't really affect my experience that much here. I loved the idea of Celestial Mates of different species being paired up, finding it such a fascinating concept to read about. This one had such great imaginative world building and was one I was especially looking forward to delving into and it certainly didn't disappoint, pulling me in and capturing my attention right from the onset. I also adored the physical appearance of Tarrik with his horns, wings and all that smouldering heat finding it strangely hot and extremely sexy. And man; that tentacle/Tail was super smokin it had a bloody mind all of its own; loved it, it was like it had its own separate individual personality. Tarrik was also such a big man-child with his prickly personality; totally spitting his dummy out in regards to his little human Juliette and her perceived usefulness. Totally loving the single life and captaining his ship with his rag-tag crew through space on his family's trading vessel he thinks he's living the dream and there's no room in it for a useless pesky human. Juliette herself was a very practical girl; a genius when it comes to technology and used to relying soling on herself due to lack of family entanglements it has also left her with a serious case of baggage. with abandonment and trust issues she has closed off her heart with a brick wall. On the run from some self-created trouble back on her home planet, Juliette plans to lie low till the dust settles. Tarriks parents, mainly his mother want him to settle down with a mate so this is how these two very different individuals end up being paired together by Celestial and rubbing each other up in all the right and wrong ways. And get ready to watch the sparks fly as these two sure turn up that heat in more ways than one. So this one was a mega fun read and though short packed a real punch. It was very easy to get lost in and had just the right mix of ingredients to hold my attention. It had some great characters along with such incredibly fun world building a super enjoyable experience overall. A big thumbs up from me folks. I was provided with an ARC of "Mated on Hades: Celestial Mates" By the author of which I have reviewed voluntary. All opinions expressed are entirely my own. The Celestial Mates agency always knows what - or who - you need. Tarrik would do anything to avoid breaking his mother's heart, so he begrudgingly signs up for Celestial Mates and agrees to come home and settle down once the agency finds his match. There's just one catch: he's not ready to give up his free and easy life traveling the galaxy. And he's doing exactly as his mother asked, so what will it hurt if he makes himself as unappealing as possible on his mate application? Juliette is a woman on the run. Her attitude, and more importantly her hacking skills, have pissed off all the wrong people. Now the target of a contract hit, she's decided the solution to her problems is to leave the planet as fast as she can. The Celestial Mates program is exactly what she needs. By the time her "mate" realizes she's impossible to live with, hopefully it will be safe for her to return to earth. She wasn't counting on a seriously hot alien who looked like the devil and could do the most sinful things with his tail... The sparks fly at first meeting when their chemistry ignites. But they can barely stand to be in the same room with each other. They shouldn't work at all. But Celestial Mates always knows best. Inga biblioteksbeskrivningar kunde hittas. |

Spanking done as punishment for normal behavior, glorification of pain, and other elements. Really its a 1.5 and borderline DNF.
Do not read if spanking, pain or punishment are triggers. ( )
