Why do things in moderation when you can just doeverything? Cartoonist Dami Lee's hilarious four-panel comic collection illustrates her experience navigating identity, relationships, pop culture, and misunderstandings about basic human interactions, from growing up as a South Korean immigrant kid in the foreign land of Texas to finding her home as a professional cartoonist in cyberspace. With favorite selections from Dami's massively popular webcomicAs Per Usual, as well as many never-before-seen comics,Be Everything at Once is earnestly relatable and endlessly funny, full of (mostly) true stories for anyone who obsesses over their favorite snacks, struggles to take the best selfie, tears up at the sight of a perfect dog, or is maybe just trying to find their place.… (mer)

This book is a delight. If you're familiar with Dami Lee's work online or if you follow her IG, I don't have any convincing to do here. If you're new to her but you love the likes of Sarah Anderson or the general "awkward but making it in a rough world" genX or millennial struggles as we go through a world full of angry boomers and patriarchy, this will be a gentle antidote to the long days.
If you're a young artist, regardless of the medium, you'll see something of yourself in these panels.

I also appreciated the glimpse into how her life has been as she transitioned with her family to the states and back again - relatable and poignant stuff in sweet simple illustrations.

So happy I got a chance to read this and I've ordered some for my galpals for the Holidays. ( )

I tried to like it, but I didn’t find it as funny and enthralling as I had hoped. I still chuckled a couple of times, but it wasn’t anything extraordinary. Maybe I shouldn’t have taken it in small doses instead of reading it all in one sitting. I also think I may have been expecting it to be like Hyperbole and A Half. 🤷🏽‍♀️ ( )

This book was absolutely adorable to read! It was funny, relatable, and I loved the illustrations that went with them. I often found myself smiling at the jokes and her sense of humor. I like that she added in some of her culture as well and even jokes about it to an extent; it made the book feel more personal. Overall I had such a good experience reading it and I like the messages it got across. ( )

Although the book is visually entertaining, the story is not at all. If you would like to read a better story, I would reccomend "Enrique's Journey". ( )

I appreciated that we got sections organized by topic with a little one or two page introduction explaining it and some of her thoughts on said topic. It's funny and silly, and very much reflects the humor of the Internet post-Tumblr. Some of the comics fall flat, and the last section to me wasn't as strong as the other two, but overall I had a good time reading it. ( )
