Well, if you read A Modest Proposal in school then Tender is the Flesh will be pretty familiar to you. It was decently written, dark, bloody, and disgustingly human. Rated 3.5 but I can definitely say it won’t be leaving my thoughts for a damn while! For better or for worse. ( )

It's a very unsubtle book - there's an early long chapter describing the slaughter of humans for meat which is so gross and descriptive it was overwhelming but could also have been pulled straight from any serious description of factory farming - but also it does a great job of just going through a bunch of obvious, unsubtle things about the concept of factory farming and eating humans and doesn't outstay its welcome. It's vile and unbearable and evil. The obvious analogies to both meat farming and the general churn of capitalism that kills an underclass for a different kind of consumption are very well written. It's unsubtle but it sets everything out with no missteps or stupid platitudes or any attempt to distance it from our reality or feel the need to be more explicit about the parallels than just showing the obvious. Great and horrible book ( )

Eu gostei de tudo sobre este livro: do enredo, das personagens e das possíveis reflexões tiradas da leitura.
Entretanto achei a leitura penosa, demorei mais que o suposto em algumas partes por ficar entediada com a escrita. Uma pena! ( )

En cadaver exquisito, no solo tocamos el tema, ni se usa de fondo para alguna trama interesante. En este libro nos vamos a tirar de lleno al concepto, vamos a bucear en el.
Vamos a mirar el concepto desde varios angulos. Cuando pienses que no te puede impactar mas, te seguira impactando mas. Y mas y mas.

Es un libro que no intenta presentar una moral, no da ninguna solicion, si enseña algo, si hay una moral que extraer creo que esta en los sentimientos que te deja cuando lo has acabado.

Es un libro que da que pensar, que da que hablar y que es corto, muy recomendable. ( )
