Following after Grant Morrison on JLA Mark Waid started his run with this great story. It's similar to the first part of Morrisons run since it starts by reminding you that Batman is the most dangerous member of the League. It also reminds you of just how paranoid he really is. Taking the concept of language as a pillar of humanities ability to communicate ideas as a uniting force that is taken away is how it starts. The meat of the story comes when the JLA are defeated, by one of their own members, indirectly. That is why Batman stands over the fallen bodies of his fellow League members. It also proves why the Justice League are as great as they are. If half-stars were allowed, this would definitely be a 1.5. This is yet another installment of one of those endless 1990s DC story arcs. Batman made a boo-boo with secret data. Whatever will the rest of the JLA do? Apparently act like dumb-ass teenagers. "I don't trust you anymore!" "But he was there for you when you needed him!" Whine, whine, whine. Okay, it's not absolutely terrible; it's competently written, I guess, and the art is tolerable. But it's boring. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension

Written by Mark Waid; Art by Howard Porter, Drew Geraci and others Batman's greatest rival, Ra's al Ghul continues his quest to save Earth from humanity by thinning the ranks of the human populace. But after being thwarted over and over again, Ra's seeks to distract Batman by stealing the bodies of his dead parents while he enacts his nefarious plot. And to insure that Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, the Flash and the rest of the JLA do not interfere with his plans, he individually defeats each of the heroes using strategies developed by Batman himself! And when the League learn of his betrayal, they look to expel the Dark Knight from their ranks. Inga biblioteksbeskrivningar kunde hittas. |
