The Dallas Titans Get Ready for Bed is a non-fiction picture book that reads like a story. The story is like a detailed play-by-play of everything that the Dallas Titans do from the moment they win a game to the time they go to sleep, infused with lots of facts and some humor. The masterful charcoal and watercolor illustrations by Marc Simont exemplify his background doing illustrations for Sports Illustrated, and in each illustration there is a whirlwind of action, with each character portrayed distinctively. A must read for those who want to know about the makeup of football uniforms and what goes on in the locker room, this book will appeal mostly to children ages 4-8, but may extend a bit beyond that especially for struggling readers.
