This is a sweet book about new parents who take time at home to bond with their newborn. Just as a honeymoon is considered a time to bond with your new spouse without interruptions, a baby-moon is bonding is the time for parents to bond with their new baby. I have never heard the term baby-moon until I read this book. This book would also be a great read for young children who have a new sibling. ( )

A soothing ode to the much-needed "babymoon." This is, the time after the birth of a (first) child where the parents are simply enjoying the child, learning the ropes of parenting, and taking care of one another. The book ends by stating, "We'll invite the world in soon, but for now -- we're on our babymoon."
Hayley Barrett's rhyme paired with Juana Martinez-Neal's gentle art make this book wonderful for bedtime reading. ( )
