I am a sucker for handmade or handmade looking illustrations. This little board book uses hand-embroidered illustrations to depict each letter of the alphabet as it connects to a scene in the book "Ann of Green Gables". This little braided red-head is sure to win the interest for preschoolers in need of concept books.

This is an adorable board book showing the alphabet in the world of Anne of Green Gables. The illustrations are charming! This would be a perfect baby shower gift for bookish parents-to-be.

Love it!! As an Anne fan myself, I find this impossibly charming.

Unlike other reviewers' experience, my twp-year-old daughter was also enthralled. She loves the visible texture of the materials and stitching, and couldn't resist running her fingers over each page.

I want the whole set!!

Like most "classics made wee", this volume is really more for a Montgomery-fanatic parent/caregiver than a board-book-aged child audience. That said, the execution is charming. This will make a nice baby shower gift for lifelong Anne fans or a welcome read-aloud for the parent who just can't wait to introduce their child to the original. ( )

A cute alphabet board book with inspiration from the Anne of Green Gables books. The illustrations are beautiful but some of the words used for the alphabet seem like a stretch for the target audience and may be there more for the adult who loves Anne and is reading the book to the child (raspberry cordial and kindred spirits seem like quite the mouthful for a three year old). Still, thoroughly charming and I'll be gifting it to my nieces. ( )
