Determined to live a dark life in the company of the assassin who freed her from bondage, Sarai sets out on her own to settle a score with an evil sadist. Unskilled and untrained in the art of killing, the events that unfold leave her hanging precariously on the edge of death when nothing goes as planned.Sarai's reckless choices send her on a path she knows she can never turn back from and so she presents Victor with an ultimatum: help her become more like him and give her a fighting chance, or she'll do it alone no matter the consequences. Knowing that Sarai cannot become what she wants to be overnight, Victor begins to train her and inevitably their complicated relationship heats up. As Arthur Hamburg's right-hand man, Willem Stephens, closes in on his crusade to destroy Sarai, she is left with the crushing realization that she may have bitten off more than she can chew. But Sarai, taking on the new and improved role of Izabel Seyfried, still has a set of deadly skills of her own that will prove to be all she needs to secure her place beside Victor. But there is one test that Izabel must face that has the potential to destroy everything she is working so hard to achieve. One final test that will not only make her question her decision to want this dangerous life, but will make her question everything she has come to trust about Victor Faust.… (mer)

What a ride! I really enjoyed the first book, but this one has surpassed all my expectations. Reviving Izabel starts where the first book ended, it has been eight months since Sarai escaped from captivity. She lives a normal" life now with Mrs. Gregory, her friend Dahlia and boyfriend Eric. But her new life is a big fat lie and she doesn't stop to yearn for dangerous life she could have lead with Victor instead, neither she can't stop thinking about killing Hamburg (I finally read his name normally, not like Hamburger :D). But deep inside herself she is aware that she is also doing it to attract Victor's attention.

Her mission failed, but not completely, because Victor came to hotel and rescued her from sure death. That was one of my favorite scenes in the book. I loved their passionate encounter. I was already going crazy waiting for him finally to show up.

"I--"
Victor grabs my face in both of his hands and shoves my body against the elevator wall, closing his lips fiercely over mine. His tongue tangles with my own, his mouth stealing my breath in a passionate kiss that is what ultimately makes my knees buckle.

Yeah, I was drooling over him through the entire book. I like how their relationship developed through the book, in the beginning they both were denying their feelings for each other, but in the end they finally admitted it. Sarai very cunningly made him confess that he loved her. She is a world-class manipulator and liar, but still I like her. She is fearless, determined and strong, but she lacks a discipline. She is also the only woman who was able to reach Victor's seemingly cold heart. Lucky bitch! And yes, I want to be in her place, obviously. That cold-blooded murderer is my new fictional boyfriend.
But I guess she can have him since she has passed all the tests and proved to be his match and ideal partner in crime.

Victor. What to say about Victor? I have always suspected he had a heart and I was right, but he had to turn off his feelings to become professional killer. I felt sorry for him, Vonnegut and the Order stole his childhood and falling in love was a luxury since he was leading a dangerous life. I was so glad he and Sarai found each other.

In this book we finally get to know Fredrik more. That one chapter that was written from his POV totally broke my heart. I'm dying for his book to come out and read his story. He was such a mystery to me. Some things were unraveled about his past and what made him that way, but I sense there is more to discover yet.

I would recommend this book to everyone who loves action, suspense and a bit of love story to spice the things a little. If you are a fan of Nikita, you'll definitely enjoy this book. ( )

Tricked.....I was so ready to give this book a bad rating .. the first 3/4 were quite boring to me, blah blah blah, but then BAM, my attention was grabbed .. still not a 5 star because of all the blah blah but good nonetheless ( )

Gee whiz! I thought the story couldn't get any more brutal. Just goes to show you I know nothing. I think Izabel is turning into a pit bull without a muzzle. And Victor...the two of them as a pair...I feel sorry for anyone they set their sights on. Can't wait to get my hands on book 3! ( )

Actual Rating: 4.5/5 stars

Okay. I think my heart just died a thousand times. It's okay now, heart. It's over. Stop pounding so hard. Calm the hell down.

The story picked up 8 months after Killing Sarai ended. As Sarai started to live her life as normal as she could, she wondered if this life was really suited for her. She couldn't get Victor out of her mind. She wanted to be Izabel Seyfried, the name Victor gave her. The person who isn't afraid of anything.

Then one day, Sarai, her boyfriend and her friend went to have their vacation. Sarai chose the place. She wanted to get back at Arthur Hamburg. She has this vengeful bloodlust, the need to kill him for all the wrong things he'd done.

"And maybe...just maybe I 'll get the attention of a certain assassin I can't force myself to forget, while I'm at it."

You want a heroine who is not a damsel in distress? A woman who certainly didn't need any man to save herself? Well, this is the book for you. I am in awe of Izabel's strenghth and courage. Well, the first part made me want to slap her 'cause she's so foolish to think that she could pull that off but as the story progresses, I admired her.

Reviving Izabel was so dark and overwhelming at places. I cannot contain my shock at times and this book managed to surprise me at every turn! Even while writing this review, my heart just won't stop pounding. This book took my breath away.

Oh my gawd. Nobody trusts anybody! Not at all. They go around and around each other being suspiscious. Well, they are assassins and killers after all. Even though we think we know most of the people around us, there are ones who aren't what they seem. I understand the precaution that these characters seem to apply but sometimes, I think it's kind of pass the limit already. It was too much at times.

"Don't hold any of it back," she says with soft urgency. "Say everything you're feeling right now. In this very moment. No matter how wrong or uncomfortable or foreign it seems, say it anyway. Please.."

Oh my word. Izabel is also a clever woman. I am grinning at this scene like an idiot I am.

“Behind closed doors, when it's just me and him alone, he is a different man. He loves me without having to say it. He cherishes me without having to prove it... I'm the only soul he's ever let into his life completely. And the only one he'll never let go.”

Yup. Victor. He managed to make me like him without even trying that hard. He didn't know himself that like Izabel, he's also beautiful and damaged.

Ahhh. That freaking plot twist. I should've seen that coming but I didn't. It was shocking uggggh.

The next book is about Fredrik and I can't wait to read about him. He is one of my favorite character in this story. There is something about him that intrigues me and I want to find out about his secrets.

That's all for now. JUST. READ. THIS. SERIES. It's bloody violent (what is with me and I'm reading a lot of assassin books nowadays?) but certainly, absolutely worth the reading time! ( )

OK I JUST HAVE TO VENT A MOMENT. You ever get a really good review typed out and BAM you accidentally click off the page....grrrrrrr soooo frustrated right now. SO I'm going to attempt to rewrite it but :( I lost some of my awesomeness by waiting and NOW I HAVE TO PEE!

ANYWAY I gave this book a solid 4 THIS GIRL IS BAD ASS AND A LITTLE RECKLESS STARS!

Move over Sasha Fierce bring in Izabel!

Strong, stubborn and a little foolish. She is however no match for Victor. Cool, calm, mysterious. Together they are amazeballs.

BUT!!!! Fredrick....*swoon* I knew I liked him from the first page. The way Jessica describes him made me instantly think of a Ian Somerhalder by his cocky, confident personality and his crystal blue eyes.

Ok back to the review. Sarai aka "Izabel" is doing her damnedest to move on with her life. She as a normal job, a normal friend and a normal boyfriend. Only thing is every time she is with said boyfriend she thinks about Victor.

She is still a little demented (ok a lot) over the whole kidnapped as a kid thing as well as letting the scumbag Hamburg live so she tricks her friends into going to California for a "vacation." Little do they know she is going so she can kill Hamburg.

Let's just say that she didn't quite get what she wanted and in return people she cared about got hurt.

Her life is now in danger and Victor waltzes back in to save the day. Instant sparks fly between the two but they are two bull headed to tell the other how they feel.

Together they work out a plan to finally end Hamburg but she has to follow Victor's orders while doing so. And you know how well she listens lol.

Not going to spoil it for you but the ending has a major twist that I was like....

Thank you Jessica for another amazing read! I can't wait for the next one!!!
