This book is a great idea--lots of vintage image stickers compiled into a high quality hardcover book. However, the image selections for the stickers are often disappointing.
There are 26 pages of alphabet stickers, and approximately 124 additional pages of stickers depicting a wide variety of images. Overall, I would say there are at least 30 pages worth of stickers that I would never use; and I venture a reasonable guess that the vast majority of people who would buy this book would not want to use them either.
A lot of the images are beautiful & charming, and some are just silly & quirky. Unfortunately, way too many of them are bizarre, creepy, or just downright ugly. Did the publishers really think that endless images of biological specimens would make a fantastic addition to a sticker book? Apparently they did, but they were way off base. Page after page includes lifelike images of bugs, jellyfish, coral formations, & mushrooms. Dozens of pictures of fungi is not what I was expecting from this book, but that's what I got.
I use stickers all of the time for scrapbooking & for embellishing correspondence. Although a lot of these stickers are fun & cute, way too many of the stickers in this book are just too hideous & tasteless to use for anything.
I find myself using this book all of the time. It is super convenient whenever I want to find a sticker. However, as the number of good stickers is rapidly dwindling, I realize I will be throwing this book away with way too many stickers still left unused within its pages. What a waste & what a shame.
