Based on the creation story, everyone argues they are the most loved by God. God says they love everyone and everyone is needed. Something about this didn't work for me so I didn't keep it for my children. The illustrations are cute and the message is fine though. ( )

A beautifully written and illustrated children's book about creation and God's love.
A simple and quick book that's great to read to your child at betime. ( )

Really nice illustrations in this. Different animals and people argue over who is loved most by god, good for pre-schoolers. The style and flow of the book is much better than a lot of similar titles I've seen.

Based on the story of creation, elements of the physical world and then animals and the people each brag that, because of their special features, God must love them the best. The moral of the story (based on the Jewish teaching form of midrash) teaches children that everything is needed and special in its own way and that God loves all. Beautiful, bright illustrations are eye-catching, and the book could start some interesting observations and discussions between children and their parents or teachers.

This is a picture book about how all creation is beloved in the eyes of God. The illustrations are colorful, and there is welcome diversity among the children depicted. The story - that there was a kind of jealous competition among God's creations until He told them that He loves them all - might be best understood by children older than toddlers. Not sure if the story would be re-read with much interest but the pictures are fine. ( )
