Remi is the daughter of rich parents. Sam stocks shelves in a grocery store overnight. He is also working on his idea for a argon laser device that reads the amounts of metal in things, such as raw ore. They meet at a bar on the same day he has saved a surfer from growing. Remi saw what was happening at the beach and directed Sam’s watery search from a distance. That night he sees her with her friends in a restaurant/bar. He strikes up a conversation with her that lasts all evening. She is on her way to Greece as part of an archaeology expedition. They say their goodbyes and Sam is left thinking that might be all of it. But when Remi manages to get off a coded message to him after she and a companion are kidnapped, Sam drops everything to cross the planet to find her. And from then the action and adventure really picks up. Romance isn’t easy at the best of times but when you have a egomaniacal rich kid trying to kill you, a drug producing operation gunning for you, and her parents trying to keep you apart, things get really tough. This is a fast-paced, fun read that will have you, yet again, rooting for our heroes. From the rocky coast of California to the beautiful blue sea and the whitewashed houses on the various Greek isles they visit, you’ll fall in love all over again.
