This is a complete edition of the fourth, fifth and sixth editions of the Shorter Oxford English Dictionary. The fourth edition was a wholesale reabridgement undertaken by Lesley Brown of the Oxford English Dictionary, and entitled "The New Shorter Oxford English Dictionary". The fifth and sixth editions, under the editorships of William R. Trumble and Angus Stevenson are revisions of Ms. Brown's work.

Please do not combine with copies of the first, second or third edition of the SOED, or with non-complete editions.
