The entire code of God's law is carefully enunciated in five chapters of this book. Under this judicial system there are only about a hundred statutes required to govern a community, a state, a nation or the world. But this is only possible when these laws are in the hands of wise and virtuous judges. In order to make this system work, the people must be taught the law and then they must enter into a solemn covenant to honor and sustain its precepts. Someday, God's law is coming to America. It could come rapidly after a period of cleansing and reform-even in our day.… (mer)

A great book of world history from ancient Greek down to American, with the focus on God's hand in directing it all. Very interesting, easy to follow, and informative. You can learn so much about various leaders in different countries, the most fascintaing being George Washington and the Revolutionary War. Skousen portrays victories of the colonists at war for independance with England, giving readers an appreciation of God's direction in the events, while describing numerous battlefield miracles. As an overview of world history, it cannot be over-rated, even if you are not overly interested in the Christian aspect. (
