I thought Wildlife 123 was an engaging illustrated picture book that could be read aloud to younger students or read by older children to themselves while still presenting a challenge of finding the number of animals listed. It also reinforces mathematics and science content, so it could be relevant in both lessons. The back of the book contains a notes section that describes each animal seen throughout the book. ( )
