This is a cute little book about Peter, a bear, and his big orange flower that he paints at school one day. He is so proud of his picture and can't wait to show everyone on his way home. WHen he runs into different neighbors on the way home, they all have silly ideas with what to do with the flower, such as water it, put it in a vase, etc. Peter gets upset as he gets closer to home as no one seems to understand that its a picture of a flower. When he arrives home, he tells his parents what happened, and his dad has a great idea. After going into the basement, he appears again with a frame with Peter's picture in it and hangs it in his room. Peter finally feels like someone has the right idea.

I would share this story with age pre-k to probably 2nd or 3rd. Its an easy read and its also silly so I think the students would enjoy it. I would try to incorporate it with an art lesson and maybe have the students draw their own picture of a flower after reading this book. ( )
