This books was absurd, but so much fun! It felt like a strange mix of Twilight and Harry Potter to me and I loved it. Crazy, unrealistic, unconvincing - and yet I couldn't stop reading it. It's like candy, not healthy, but yummy. Four and a half stars. ( )

So book two we come in with expectations from book one except we find out that there’s a whole lot of missing information that apparently happened while Grace was a gargoyle is just gone, and that information apparently changes everything. It is all covered in a later book, but we’re as clueless as Grace, so there are quite a few surprises. ( )

The Crave Series by Tracy Wolff is a young adult series that is pretty similar to the Harry Potter series. Instead of a boarding school for witches and wizards it’s a mixed school of witches, dragons, vampires and werewolves. The main character, Grace, thinks she’s human, and after her parents die she’s sent to live at the boarding school which is ran by her Uncle.

Crush is the second book in the series. After her near death experience in the first book she is slowly learning her place in the paranormal world. She learns she’s not human and must try and take her place in the political regime of their society. She drags her band of friends through games and gets her heart broken and then nearly dies again.

I like the overall storyline and the action scenes. Wolff writes really well. I wish this series was narrated from Jaxon’s point of view. After three books I really can’t stand Grace. She is whiny and weak in all 3. And it’s the same repetitive drawl over and over again. I don’t have much faith for Grace’s character development, but I will finish out the series.

This one was much better and easier for me to get into. So many twist and turns that keep you reading ( )

This may be trash to some, BUT NOT TO ME. I really felt a connection to the characters in this entire series so far.
I'm enjoying listening to the audio books of this and I cant wait for the third novel to come out! I'm really hoping Tracy doesn't make us wait too long!

I must say out of all the characters, Jackson is my least favorite, let me know if I'm the only one!?

Overall, great plot and character development for what the story is about, its unique in my opinion, nothing like what I've personally read before. Then again, I don't typically read paranormal/supernatural novels! ( )
