I liked this book because it gives children the sense of how/why these important decisions were being made. The language in this book is informative but can still be understood by young readers. It introduces academic language relevant to this time period and that is necessary for students to learn. This book pushes readers to think about what life was like during this time period and why the constitution was made. The purpose of this book was to give children a brief understanding of what the constitution is and why it was made. ( )

In this historical children's book, it talks about how it would be if you were in the Philadelphia's State House during the summer of 1787 signing the Constitution. It talks about all of the key delegates and their input in the process.

Review:
This children's book is very informative and you truly do learn a lot about not only the constitution but the people involved in the signing as well. The concept is fairly advanced yet the language used in the book is written on a children's reading level. Very appropriate for middle to higher elementary school students. ( )
