I really enjoyed this book and its message. This book is a good lesson for children about acceptance and how one should not judge others based on their differences. The "Ugly Duckling" was judged by everyone that was not like him and he became sad, but once he met others that were like him, he understood that there is somewhere that he belongs with others who love him. This book is also effective for teaching children this lesson because of its use of baby animals because they are young just like the children, but there are still differences because they are animals instead of humans.
