If I could give this book more than five stars I would. Brittainy Cherry always manages to make my heart hurt and my eyes leak but in a good way. She makes me remember why I believe in love. I had to stop reading a few times because I couldn't see through the tears. (Sweet holy hell the conversation between Graham and Mari gutted me. Kudos, to the author, for writing some of the most eloquently written prose I have ever read and I have a Lit degree!)
Graham... What can I say about this sweet beautiful man besides swoon? He is exceptional. Then there is Lucy. She might be my favorite character yet. Her quirkiness and ability to love unconditionally made me both cry with her and for her. When she hurt, I hurt. When she laughed, I laughed. Most importantly, when she loved, I loved. Her ability to be "the heart" to her sisters was something special.
I cannot recommend this book enough. Definitely going to be one of my favorites of 2017 and forever

I love it when an author can make me feel the emotions that the characters are feeling when I read a book. This book gave me that and more with Margot and Jack. These two had great banter and I liked how in-depth their conversations were. One would think that the city girl and the country boy wouldn't have much in common-- and they didn't but it was in their lack of commonalities that they seem to connect. There was a spark there and I liked watching it grow.
Loved the idea of the story itself and loved the side characters. I, especially, loved the connection that Jack had with his nephew Cooper. It showed another facet to his normally grumpy exterior. The epilogue and the way to mark a certain date was one of my favorite epilogues ever. I did have a few areas that I wished had been fleshed out but for the most part, I was content with how these amazing characters got their happily ever after.

Sweet lord. Is there anything that this author cannot write? She wrote a book that proves the theory that not everything is black or white but is in fact gray. The redemption and growth in this book floored me. Add in phenomenal characters, life lessons, an adorable little girl, an abundance of love, and this was the perfect book.
The love and dedication that Sawyer bestowed on his daughter were out of this world. Dads everywhere could take a lesson from him. I truly believe everyone comes into our lives for a reason. In this case, I think Darlene came into Sawyer and Oliva's life to be the piece that helped them heal. Without her, the outcomes would have been very different and the butterfly effect would have rippled through all their lives.

I wasn't sure anyone could beat Alex and Violet as the best couple. I was wrong because Darren and Charlene were everything. They were worth the wait. There was the usual hilarity with this wild family but there was more. I loved how these two had backstories that were so opposite to one another yet somehow made it work. Darren said some of the sweetest things and his actions to overcome His "firefly's" fears was beyond endearing.
I loved how this "family" of friends were so integral in each other. They made me laugh and they reminded me that blood doesn't matter in order to create a family. ( )
