I don't think Sakura is going to be able to keep her Clow Card collecting a secret from her brother much longer. He almost caught Kero-chan talking and moving a few times in this book, and he knew that the Mirror card wasn't really Sakura. Toya might have mistaken it for a ghost, but it's pretty obvious that he has some psychic talents since he often sees ghosts and other strange beings. That kind of magical talent seems to run in families, and since both children have magical abilities I wonder if the father does as well. He's the English parent in their heritage, so I assume he's their ancestral connection to Clow Reed, who was also English. ( ) Although I wasn't as blown away by v.3 it was still quite good. We're introduced to another new character who'd been hiding in the shadows in the last volume, Mizuki Kaho. Kaho's a student teacher filling in as Sakura's math instructor temporarily. She's also Toya (Sakura's oniichan)'s former fling but it's not really elaborated on in this volume. There's the usual cute battles and adorable outfits and we get to see Tomoyo's sprawling estate. One thing i didn't care for was that Sonomi still has the bouquet she caught at Nadeshiko's wedding... which would be 20 years old... and she acts like it's very lovely and it looks beautiful on the page, as if it was caught in suspended animation or something. From reading the Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicles I knew that many of the charcters were lifted from this earlier Clamp series. I wasn't all together sure if I wanted to read it, but while scouring multiple manga sellers looking for something else I came across this in the clearance section and had to admit to enough curiosity to pick this up. I'm glad that I did, this was such a cute little tale and it was rather neat to see Sakura and Syorian in their different roles. I also really liked both Toya and Yukito whose friendship seems to readily span both manga worlds. Although this is volume three I knew the basics of the plot line so I had little trouble picking up. In this volume Sakura and Syorian test eachothers skills in a badmitton competition, Sakura has to save Toya from an alarming card and Sakura formally meets Tamoyo's mother. Certainly this manga would be fine for all ages and I think I might just have to look into reading further volumes. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
