The matched series is your typical young adult futuristic romance trilogy. In the story the futuristic government is all powerful and to some extent down right evil, when one girl defies that power for the sake of love she is automatically a threat to the futures way of life. For the main part of the trilogy out protagonist spends her time in live only to rebell and bring an end to the futures current government only to let another rise in its place. I believe that this story focuses too much on the romance and leaves out too much rebellion resulting in hardly any change in the futures government. I would recommend this book to young adults interested in romances with a little adventure and sacrifice thrown in on the side. ( )
