Hunter Buchanon is a man on a mission to rebuild the family ranch with his father and Annabelle by his side. After the fight to survive and against all odds to destroy the family, the future for the family looks bright. However, once again, trouble is brewing to rear its ugly head and aim its sights on the 4-Box-B ranch owned by the Buchanons.
In the tale, which is really one of my favorites, Hunter is going to stare death in the face. On one hand, Hunter must defend himself against various members of the Piper clan. On the other hand, he is also after a grizzly that isn’t just taking down his beeves but bringing harm to his ranch hands, too.
There is more to the story than what I mention in this review, but I don’t want to spoil any reader enjoyment. The plot grabbed my attention from the first page and never let up. The developing overarching tale of the Buchanon family working together to thrive amidst hard times arrested my attention. The book is filled with western action and adventure with moments of high-octane suspense!
Audiences are encouraged to read the two previous Hunter Buchanon Black Hills Westerns, which I highly recommend titled, The Black Hills and Blood in the Dust.
