I really enjoyed reading this book! It had drama, intrigue and romance.
Vivian is an attorney for the State Department. She is recruited to be a member of an FBI task force after witnessing two ambassadors collapse. Jacob, a former SEAL is in charge of the events security. Through some situations he becomes Vivians bodyguard. They face many dangerous situations and find themselves beginning to care for each other. Read the book to find out more, you won't be disappointed. ( )

This was such an exciting book! So much going on and it was impossible to figure out what was going to happen. There’s more suspense than romance and the romance was just enough.
I have really enjoyed this whole series. The characters and storyline were so good. I felt like I was right there with them in all their missions, safe houses, and SCIF meetings. I would make a great TV series! ( )

This is the last book of the Capital Intrigue series and it's a perfect conclusion to this exciting series. Power Play allows us to witness a work partnership between attorney Vivian Steele and special agent Jacob Cruz that promises to turn into so much more, and it offers us a chance to catch up with the characters from books one and two. Author Rachel Dylan is also a lawyer, and I was fascinated with the legal aspects that she shares in this engaging plot. I was also completely immersed in the efforts to find who has killed two ambassadors, and why Vivian is now a target.

Dylan has become one of my must-read authors and this book certainly didn't disappoint. Power Play has intrigue, suspense, nail-biting adventure, and characters that I would like to know. I loved the very realistic romance between two people who choose to take it slow, and I appreciated the faith message that is powerful and inspiring, but never overwhelming. This is the perfect summer read!

Viv Steele is an attorney for the State Department. It is NOT a cover for a CIA operative. But somebody thinks it is!
While attending a diplomatic dinner, two diplomats suddenly collapse. Viv is put on a task force with Jacob Cruz, security for the diplomatic corps. They don’t hit it off right away but they soon learn to trust each other. They are pitted against formidable foes and things ratchet up the closer they get to the truth. The romance is there but light and with a promise of more to come for Jacob and Viv.
Written with expertise on the inner workings of Washington D. C. agencies, this is a top notch, suspenseful novel. While not overdone, the faith thread is underlying. The protagonists are principled and Christians. “There is no doubt in my mind. The God I worship is bigger than any of this.”
A great conclusion to the Capital Intrigue series.
