I found the book kind of tedious and almost stopped reading it about halfway. Instead I cheated and read the end, which didn't make plodding through it any easier. The main character, Patrick Beaton, seemed cold and aloof to me. The other character, Seth, just seemed too unrealistic and goofy, without any redeeming features. The book is quite long at 486 pages of nothing much happening at all. (
