Reading Level: Preschool - 3rd Grade This is a great classic. I remembered the “not from the hair on my “chinny chin chin” part but I forgot how the book developed and ended. It was nice reading this after so much time. This really is a funny book; it’s very light hearted. The wolf is certainly persistent but the third pig out smarts the wolf and ends up eating him for dinner. I will have this book in my library and it will be a regular read. My students loved reading this book with me! They know the story of the three little pigs so they were able to chant the repetitive lines with me as I read them. This type of repetition pulls the reader in and makes you wonder if the same thing is going to happen again and again. My students were quite surprised by the ending of this book, they had only ever read the other version. This book put a nice twist on what we were used to. The Three Little Pigs by James Marshall is classic book. However, I seemed to have forgotten what the ending was like. In the book, the wolf blows down the house made of straw and sticks, but he cant blow down the house made of bricks. So the wolf tries to trick the pig, but the pig is smarter. Once the wolf has had enough, he tells the pig that he is going to eat him and goes down the chimney to get into the pigs house. But this time, the pig is even smarter, and he puts a big pot of boiling water in the chimney and he cooks the wolf up and eats him! This three little pigs is known for its repetitive line "I'll huff and i'll puff and i'll blow your house down" and the pigs say "not by the hair of my chinny chin chin" inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
