The first person way that this was written really makes you feel his pain on trying to be part of the school environment. ( ) A dismaying and harrowing, but ultimately, inspiring story of Cory's life with OCD and Tourette's Syndrome. It is hard to imagine this family's despair as Cory was put on various drug cocktails to no avail, or was misdiagnosed. It is painful, too, to read about his loneliness and outcast status among his peers. But this family hung on and supported Cory through thick and thin until he alone was able to more or less free himself of his disabilities. The chapters are short and read quickly; you can't help but hang on to Cory's story, which makes this especially ideal for reluctant readers. Readers will also learn much about what OCD and Tourette's are. Med head is a really amazing book. I loved it! I couldnt put the book down. The book is also a true story. Med head is about a boy who has problems with his body. His body takes over and he cant control it. He has to take lots of medicine to calm his body, but certain medicines make is body act even more worse. None of the medicines that the doctors have given him work. So the boy finds that alchole helps his body calm down. He has tryed to stop and his parents tryed to hide the alchole from him but he allways finds it, but when he thinks that his body is taking over again he finds alchole and it helps him. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
