Just look at Asa's hair!!!!!!

The cover totally drew me in and the book did not disappoint. I liked how fully fleshed Asa and Lauren were. Although their two personalities seemed so different on a surface level, at the core these two had such a yearning and capacity for love that they were definitely meant for each other.

Such a fun book! I liked all the supporting characters including Cold World. I also have to make another mention for the cover. It is soooo pretty and stands out in this current sea of cartoon covers. The representation was also done perfectly and I especially loved that it didn't feel like tokenism.

I had a great time with this book! I really enjoyed this author’s debut so I was very excited to give her sophomore novel a try. It didn’t take long before I was hooked by this story. I really liked both Lauren and Asa and thought that they had amazing chemistry together. I found this to be a very entertaining romance and had a hard time putting it down.

Lauren and Asa both work at a tourist destination in Florida called Cold World. They don’t really interact with each other all that much until the owner asks them to help come up with a plan to earn more money for the company. As they spend more time together, they find that they are drawn to each other. Both of these characters have issues from their past to work through and I loved seeing how they worked to support each other.

I listened to the audiobook and thought that Lindsey Dorcus did an amazing job with the story. I believe that this was the first time that I have had a chance to listen to this narrator’s work and I must say that I was impressed by her performance. I enjoyed the way she was able to bring the story to life with the various character voices and the fact that she was able to bring just the right amount of emotion to her reading. I do believe that her performance added to my overall enjoyment.

I would definitely recommend this book to others. This was a wonderful romance filled with great characters and a fun setting. I enjoyed watching this pair do what it took to find their happily ever after together. I do hope to read more of this author’s work in the future.

This book!! So, so good from the beautiful cover to the oh-so satisfying ending. I finished yesterday and I’m still in my feelings, in love with Lauren and Asa.

Cold World, a winter-themed entertainment venue in Orlando, has seen better days. Lauren is the shy facilities bookkeeper and Asa is the tattooed, blue-haired, Jack of all trades, the bane of her work existence. She’s a rigidly self-controlled, former foster kid. He’s the easy-going, bisexual son of an unforgiving pastor. Together they are magic.

Alicia Thompson did a fantastic job of building all the relationships, the supporting characters, the entire Cold World vibe. There really is nothing not to like here!
