Dolphin - A snail slides across the shore. A bird flys over the sea. A whale swims the waters but a dolphin sees the world. This was a cute poem because dolphins are known to be nice and everybody loves to see a dolphin. Follow their lively trail and you can see amazing places around the world.

Padiddle - A dalmatian lost his spots and his owner is looking all over for them. She finally looks in the mirror and it's on her face. I liked this poem because when I looked at the pictures, I realized her face is not shown until the end. It's just pictures of the back of her head looking in various spots.

Mosquito - Children are on the playground and a mosquito is biting them. This poem is not for children because one child is bitten on the butt and there's a picture with his butt halfway showing. Also, the other children cursed when they were bitten.

Golden Eagle - An eagle is flying high and mighty when he spots a fawn. With one, wobbly leap she is gone. I like this poem but I thought it was sad because the fawn was taken. The image it gave of the eagle is a familiar one - strong and overlooking the ground.

Copycat - A cat does everything the little boy does. I liked this poem because at the end I found out that the cat thinks the little boy is copying him. It was a cute twist. ( )

This is a collections of poems about different animals. This book is very colorful and the pictures help the story very well. This would be good book to pull some poems from for science class and talk about the different animals. ( )
