Stormy Encounters by (Barb) BJHowe is a teen/young adult action adventure novel. With a street car race, a storm, and more, this book kept me reading. Steven Carlson and his cousin find themselves saddled with an unexpected debt that changes their plans for a carefree summer.

With a bully, a young lady, and some other characters, this story moved at an excellent pace. I found myself unable to put this book down. Filled with messages of forgiveness, family, faith and more I loved the overarching Christian message of this book.

So if you are looking for a teen/young adult action adventure book, check out Stormy Encounters by BJ Howe for yourself. I definitely recommend it.

This is a good book that explores how two teenage boys find that disobeying can lead to consequences. I thought the story was a great lesson in falling into making wrong decisions and what happens when your life starts to spiral out of control. The boys wanted to be popular and race cars at night but when something happens, they find that their punishment was not worth it.

I liked how we see that peer pressure is something everyone deals with and how hard it is to walk away. There are many storms that we have to overcome in our lives and the boys find that doing the right thing has better results. It is also a good lesson on helping others even if you don’t like them.
