I'm a bit confused by the title, because it's not a Pride and Prejudice retelling and not a whole lot of the story takes place in Pittsburgh, so the expectations weren't set up quite well from the title. This is a fine time-travel romance. I enjoyed the characters opening up and learning from each other, and the journey each takes to figure out that they were falling in love. It's great to see them help each other find their own inner strength. It's fluffy and has incredibly cute moments and is overall a quick, entertaining read. There were a few things I didn't love--I think inner dialogue could have been better integrated since we have dual perspectives. We find out about the characters from dialogue to each other rather than their own thoughts. I also felt like the time travel wasn't really integrated and carefully thought about. Maybe it's just me, but Audrey didn't once worry if the world would implode or something bad would happen about revealing the future or future technology to Lucy, and that was jarring. It was strange not to have any read on what she was thinking when she was revealing that sort of stuff, which made me feel like something was lacking. I enjoyed reading about the characters overcome their struggles and find themselves, but I was expecting something a little different. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension

Audrey wakes up in a field on a large estate and is discovered by Lucy Sinclair, daughter of the estate's owner. The year is 1812 and Lucy has her own problems. She is destined to be married to the much older, totally distasteful Mr. Caldwell in an effort to enhance her father's estate. Mr. Caldwell is the richest man in the county.
Once Audrey realizes where and when she landed and Lucy realizes Audrey is from the future, they must figure out a way to get Audrey back to her own time. But in the meantime, she must fit into 1812s world.
Pride and Prejudice and Pittsburgh is a fun, quick read. Based on the author, you can guess what the ending will be but that doesn't matter. Lucy and Audrey are a fun pair and the jouney from 2023 to 1812 and back again will make you smile. (
