A goofy spoof about a monstrously huge dog.

It is a good example of fantasy because it talks about a battle between mice and dog.
Dog is annoyed; therefore, mice wants to kick dog out. They have meeting to go against dog. Finally, dog is frightened because he is afraid of taking the bath.
It is a interesting story to read. I like the illustrator which is colorful and puts the actual mice inside.

This is a very dog example of a modern fantasy book because it is about a dog's inbreak in a mice community. The book talks about a prehistoric dog that is attracted by a barbecue smell and intrudes the mice community. Later the mice figure out a solution--bathing the dog which let the dog runs away. The story connects the reality which makes the story vivid. Also, the media is appealing--adding real pictures of a dog mice. I really like the plot and the media of the book. Teachers can read the book to students to make them laugh and also teach them something about dogs. The book is suitable for k-4th grade students. ( )

This is a book about a mouse town where mice are celebrating for the summer and accidentally wake up a dog. Then the dog comes and attacks the town. The mice create a plan to stop the dog and finally they are able to stop him. But then at the end of the next year the dog has puppies and they come back and attack the town the next year. This is book uses a lot of comedy and references to pop culture in it that make it interesting for children.

I really liked this book because it was entertaining and just a fun book. I liked the illustrations in this story because they were real pictures of animals in an unreal setting. For example, there is a picture of a real dog coming out of a cartoon volcano. I also liked the language in this story because it was very descriptive and offered a bunch of details to enhance the story. For example, "A gentle wind carried the mouth-watering smell into the distance," there are several adjective and descriptive words to describe the events in the story. The big idea of this story is simply to entertain the reader. ( )
