This book is about three girls who are competing in a present contest. They each want to make the best present for their mom. However they all end up fighting and mess up their moms birthday.. arguing with sisters and they forgot about moms birthday! they have a contest about crown making to see who is the best. they made presents for mom but ended up opening them themselves. mom get very upset and she started to cry. dad sent the girls to their rooms and did not get any birthday cake. the girls laid together saying "no queen of the world makes mom cry". the very next morning the girls woke up, made a plan to make a new crown and to make mom breakfast and tea in bed.

There mother's birthday came up and they decided that the gifts they create for her will determine who will get a crown they had created. During dinner time on their mothers birthday, they got to eager about the presents and ruined the dinner. This resulted in them getting in trouble and sent up to their room. In the end, they realize that their mother is the best and present her with the crown and breakfast in bed.
