Seeking to brighten winter skies with a summer romance, I tried this first novel and found characters who struggled with abandonment, jealousy, betrayal, self-definition, and death as well as love. Well written, hard to put down. ( )

Two twins on who is in love and dating the man her sister later marries. The twin who moves away to another unamed city and gives dance lessons and searches for meaning in her life. She gets a call from her brother in law that her twin is dying of cancer and can she return home. Which she does and all the memories from the past come rushing back. Her niece isnt particularly happy to see her because her mother is sick and her aunt is alive and its just not fair. There is tension between the brother and sister and law and they end up eventually having sex. That was a dumb move with the sister you love dying in the next room. Good beach or summer read. ( )

I really liked it - predictable in a few parts, but a great book overall. ( )
