Laddar... Puff the Magic Dragon (1962)av Peter Yarrow, Lenny Lipton
![]() Det finns inga diskussioner på LibraryThing om den här boken. Lovely artwork and such a nostalgic read for me. Summary: A story about a dragon and his friend, the young boy. They have many adventures together until one day when the boy has grown up and passes away. Puff the magic dragon is extremely sad until finally, a new friend comes along. Critique of Genre: Fantasy because there's no such thing as dragons. Therefore this story is unrealistic. Age: Primary Media: Acrylic on linen. I love this story! Ever since I was young it has been one of my favorites. I like the way that the words are written because you can also sing it to a tune. The words tell a story about a dragon but there is also a song that goes with it. Readers who who are just beginning to read could find this helpful when practicing sentence fluency and recognizing words. It also engages the reader in the text by adding in the extra feature of music. The pictures are also very children friends and depicts a dragon as friendly creature and not a monster. The main purpose of this text is to introduce new readers to books and give them options of books they may find engaging. 31 months - I like the song and the illustrations are quite nice. But I really don't feel like there's enough story in the song for a successful book. Or at least as a read aloud book (I suppose it could be tolerable to flip through while listening to the CD). One thing that saves the book is the illustrations alluding to Jackie's daughter taking his place as Puff's companion. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
