This is a good book to have in a text set for when teaching money. ( ) Genre: Informational Summary: This book takes the story of one lonely quarter and shows all of it's adventures from being minted to ending back up in the bank ready for a new adventure. Review: This a a fantastic informational book as it covers a lot of information in a fun and engaging way. It introduces the values of American currency, it explains the process of being minted, then going to a federal reserve bank, then a local bank, and then it can go a variety of places. It also includes math problems throughout to show how money is used in math. Genre: Informational Review: This is a good example of an informational book because through the journey of a quarter the students will be able to get an idea of how the economy works. It is also very useful when talking about money and math. Element of literature: The book is informational Media: Watercolors, photography This is an informative book that can be integrated into the curriculum. The teacher can use this text to educate students about counting currency and the mathematical concepts of money. The book includes math problems and activities that encourage students to use their math skills.
