( ![]() Oh. My. Goodness. This is the perfect book. I'm not crying, you're crying. ❤️ teaching points: don't let perfection deter you from doing what you love, keep trying because you never know who is applauding, admiring or appreciating your work. genre: fiction Ramon loved to draw anything, anytime, and anywhere. One day when Ramon was drawing a picture, his brother made fun of his drawing. Ramon gave up. His little sister had been picking up his crumpled drawings and hanging them on her wall. This is when Ramon realized he was still a good artist. His sister told him that his picture looked "vase-ISH" which is where the title of the story comes. Ramon took what his sister said, ran with it, and began drawing many "Ish" pictures. The illustrations are very simple but convey the story in a great way. The story also shows kids that just because you are not like everyone else does not mean you should stop trying. As suggested by my classmate, Olivia, I found this book to be sweet as can be. A young boy's opinion of his art becomes tested when an older brother makes an unkind remark. Struggling to find his inner artist, many of his drawings are crumpled up and thrown away-- or so we think. We later learn that his sister, who's loved his art all along, has hung them up in her room. inga recensioner | lägg till en recension
