"i'll be lonely!"), and comes up with solutions for them. Empowering. Highly realistic drawings, too. ( ![]() This book was abut a little girl who was switching from a crib to a big girl bed. Sometimes kids are a little hesitant with this transition. But this particular little girl is so excited for her new big girl bed. The book goes through different things that could happen, like falling out of the bed or there being monsters, but she's perfectly okay. All she needs is her stuffed animals. This is a good book to read to kids who are going through this change. I think it will help show them that some change is good and that it'll all be just fine. Switching from a crib to a big girl bed is a really big deal, but this little girl has got it all figured out. She is prepared no matter hat could happen, like if a monster came or she fell out of bed. All she needs is her stuffed animals to keep her company, her big teddy bear to keep her safe, and pillows surrounding her bed incase she falls out. Leaving her crib sounds a bit scary, but with her daddy's bed tie stories and mommy's kisses she will be all set for the night in her big girl bed. Even though the little girls character is not named, we can see her character development greatly in such a short picture book. Switching bed time routines for children of a young age is a big deal, and it takes a lot of effort to do so at her age. Some young elementary students might still be struggling with their night time routines and getting comfortable with it. This book could provide them with some closure or ideas for their own personal bed time routine.
