Great & funny story that kids love. This is a good book for PreK & kindergrten students to have fun and relate to things that happened in the classroom. ( )

Summary:
Throughout the whole story, it emphasizes the wild day that Miss Bindergarten had with her students and the staff. It also goes through the alaphabet, life cycle of a plant and butterfly. In the end, Miss Bindergarten is happy with the day, since something special always happens.

Personal Reflection:

I enjoyed this book very much! I loved that it has the alphabet, so you can use this book to reinforce the alphabet. I also really enjoyed that in the end it had the life cycle of a plant and buttefly. I loved the colors and the illustarions that the book had, it really caught my attention. Overall, I enjoyed it and would use this book for kindergarten.

Classroom Extension:

1. I would have the students repeat "Miss Bindergarten begins a wild day in kindergarten" as a whole class.
2. Have students do either the plant or butterfly cycle, and I would make sure to provide them with the materials. ( )

This book has great and fun illustrations for the emergent reader to follow along with. It is also fun for children who are just starting out in grade school who can find themselves relating to the kindergarten aspect of the book.

This book has not received any awards. Miss Bindergaten has a Wild Day in Kindergarten is appropriate for Pre-K and Kindergarten. The book is about Miss Bindergarten's kindergarten class wild day. Each letter of the alphabet is associated to a child's name in the story. The classroom was defiantly chaotic but in the end the teacher saw that the chid's interaction with their peers and classroom lead them to discover life cycle of a plant and butterflies.
A teacher could use this book to
- introduce students to the alphabet, the teacher could read the story and ask students to draw their favorite letter.
- Another activity that a teacher could do is have students create their own ABC book and have each letter relate to their lives.
