Some of the sections are better than others, but generally well done. The illustrations are also helpful to the writing. Gives a good general outline to those not familiar with Canadian history. ( )

Canada's history is recounted in six sections, each by a different historian: Arthur Ray, Christopher Moore, Graeme Wynn, Peter Waite, Ramsay Cook, and Desmond Morton. The illustrations make it a nice coffee table book, good for browsing for pleasure as well as a useful reference.

On the cover, the book editor is named as Craig Brown, who is also known as Robert Craig Brown, the author of several books on Canadian history. I have edited his name accordingly, to prevent confusion on the "Craig Brown" author page in LibraryThing. ( )
