This is about a man that arrives to an island where the citizens are afraid of letting him stay, however the fisherman convinces them to let him stay in exchange of cheap labor. The innkeepers were always afraid of the strange man's different ways to behave and be even though he was not doing anything wrong. The misconceptions were so many that they decided to put him in his raft and send him back to the sea. The citizens of the island then decide to build a big wall around the island so that no other strangers can come into the island ever again. This is a book I would use in the classroom because it represent how society behaves against other people that are different or come from different places, for example, immigrant people that are forced to do hard work for others and treated badly. There is much to learn from this story.
